Brilliant! I'm working all over the country at the moment and am very surprised to find my new favourite Japanese restaurant in Weston-super-Mare. I love Japanese food and this was expertly done. I almost didn't go in because I thought it was a bit pricey but I'm now very happily full having had 2 starters, a main, rice and a pint for just over £20. Wish I was staying longer so I could come again.

As soon as you enter the restaurant it feels classier than most in Weston-super-Mare and there are some stool seats near the Chefs where you can see your dishes being cooked on the Teppan (an iron griddle) which is always interesting.

The chicken yakitori (skewers) were served with a soy based sauce and are excellent. The Niku Sirloin with grilled vegetables and Yo-Ji sauté potatoes was also great. With the food itself being excellent I would return to Yo-Ji's and definitely recommend it to others.

This restaurant is clean and modern with the unique touch of seeing your food cooked for you, the staff are welcoming and the table service is good. Yo-Ji offer food which melts in your mouth it is presented well and all meals I have had there have been of the same standard. The puddings are limited but very good.

I have been several times and the service is always excellent, I don't proclaim to be an authority on Japanese food and the waiter was very helpful in describing and recommending dishes.

Externally the street Yo-Ji is located in can look a bit suspect, but inside it has a cool stylish look and a laid back atmosphere. The food quality is excellent and I would recommend the beef, tuna and tempura dishes without hesitation. It's one of about 3 or 4 decent places to eat out in the town and certainly stands out amongst the competition.

Have been to this restaurant more times than I can remember and every time has been great.

The only problem I have ever encountered was with a bottle of wine which was at the top end in price and had definitely gone past its prime, Manager didn't quibble it, offered a new bottle of the same or choose something else and amended the bill plus a bit for inconvenience. Sit by the tempura bar if you can it's all action and something to watch.

I visited Yoji in mid January and can thoroughly recommend the experience. The food was delicious and I was particularly impressed by the sushi, and the tempura strawberries with melted chocolate sauce. The restaurant has a very modern decor and seems to attract diners of all ages. A real gem.

I was recommended Yo-Ji by a friend so went along with my wife. I was pleasantly surprised by the food, which was great. The atmosphere lively and the decor was very contemporary.

Good quality food. Friendly and helpful staff. Luckily no circus acts from the teppanyaki chefs. Although classed as Japanese I would class this as “far east” but then again not Chinese. Try the charcoal-grilled beef. The quality of the meat is excuisite! Don’t have one starter, try many, inlcuding the edamami and duck springrolls. The Champagne is friendly priced!

The restaurant itself is in a great location for town, and is ultra-modern inside. it's comfortable, the staff are courteous and professional and the menu is expansive. Although it may be expensive compared to some places, you certainly get what you pay for.

Booking is fairly essential for a Friday or Saturday, and if you do book, ask if you can sit at the bar where the chefs cook. This adds a whole other element to the dining experience, as you watch, smell and salivate over the dishes being cooked right in front of your nose.

There is also a good selection of food for those who are not as keen on Japanese food, meaning it can be enjoyed by everyone.

Whether you live in Weston or are just visiting, this restaurant is definitely worth a visit.

If you like Japanese food and you're in the area you MUST go. The restaurant looks great, the staff are incredibly helpful, friendly and professional and the food is out of this world. To eat in is a real treat and even if you're only after take away I would strongly recommend having a drink at the bar while you wait and just watching the chefs and taking in the atmosphere. I reckon from what I've seen though it's worth booking ahead on a Friday/Saturday night, especially if there's a few of you going.
